Exterior Insulation & Finish System (EIFS) Inspections

What to expect:

EIFS or Exterior Insulation and Finish System is a synthetic latex modified stucco system commonly used in commercial and residential construction.  When properly installed it is one of the better siding products on the market adding additional insulation and both a water proof and air tight installation.

Improperly installed it can actually have a significant impact on the building and structure trapping water within walls causing extensive damage and mold hazards. In addition interfacing with adjacent products such as windows, doorways and penetrations can actually be the source of water intrusion and not system defects themselves. Unfortunately this can be hidden from view with absolutely no visual indications of cracks, delamination or surface deterioration until there is building components, structural failure and the resulting trapped interior mold growth.

Advanced Inspection with over twenty six years of providing EIFS evaluations is a Nationally certified EIFS inspector with over five thousand dollars of specialized non-invasive electronic moisture equipment along with specialized training that allows the ability to provide definitive results. We are also a certified EIFS installation contractor, and although we do not offer repair services which is an ethical conflict, we can guide any contractor with industry specific directions on how to repair and remediate any damage using specific industry guidelines and factory recommended materials.
